Foot sprain could keep Chiefs RB Johnson sidelined

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Kansas City running back Larry Johnson
is undergoing treatment and tests on his injured foot.
The Chiefs say Johnson suffered a mid-foot sprain when he was
tackled in yesterday's 33-22 loss to Green Bay. He was helped off
the field and was unable to put any weight on the foot.
The fifth-year back set an NFL record last season with 416
carries. He is off to a slow start this year after missing camp
before signing a six-year, 45 million dollar contract.
His absence could hurt what is already one of the league's
weakest offenses.
It would also move Priest Holmes into a starting role. The
former Pro Bowler is reviving his career after missing almost two
full seasons with a spinal injury.
Coach Herm Edwards says doctors are still reviewing an MRI on
Johnson.
