IRVING, Texas – Kansas State junior outside hitter Jenny Jantsch was named to the 2007 Fall Good Works Team by the Big 12 Conference, as announced Wed., Oct. 31st. The team recognizes student-athletes for their community service efforts and is created during the fall, winter and spring. Each member institution selects a student-athlete for recognition based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in a Big 12-sponsored sport.
Jantsch was one of 12 conference student-athletes recognized during the fall as Kansas State’s nominee. The junior from Kansas City, Mo., is a member of the K-State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as one of 24 representatives. She has been honored the last two years as a member of the Academic All-Big 12 first team.
Jantsch has seen action in 80 games for the 12th-ranked Wildcat volleyball squad, helping the Cats attain a record of 18-6 overall, 10-4 Big 12. She averages 2.03 kills per game with a hitting percentage of .219, while sitting third on the team in service aces with 27 (0.34 sapg).
