HORNETS END SOCCER SEASON WITH LOSS AT MSSU


October 27, 2007--Emporia State ended the season with a 6-0 loss at Missouri Southern on Saturday in Joplin, Mo.

Nikki Llewellyn scored two first half goals for MSSU, the first on a penalty kick in the 19th minute. She would then assist on an Erin Whelan goal 1:22 into the second half to give the Lions a 3-0 lead.

Megan Martin had five saves on 24 shots by the Lions to give her 149 saves on the season and 265 in her career. She is ranked third on the MIAA single season saves list and eighth on the career list for the conference
