K-State Women To Hold Open Practice

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State women’s basketball team will open its practice to fans on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Bramlage Coliseum prior to the Wildcats’ homecoming football game against Baylor.

The open practice will be held from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Fans should enter Bramlage Coliseum via the northeast and northwest entrances of the arena.

Head coach Deb Patterson enters her 12th season on the bench for K-State by returning four starters and eight letterwinners, including junior guard and All-Big 12 candidate Shalee Lehning and sophomore forward and 2006-07 All-Big 12 Rookie selection Ashley Sweat. K-State also welcomes in four newcomers to a team that finished 19-15 and reached the WNIT semifinals in 2006-07.

The Wildcats will tip-off the season on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m., with an exhibition contest in Bramlage Coliseum against Washburn University. K-State will officially start the 2007-08 season on Nov. 10 against Washington in Bramlage. A game time against the Huskies will be determined next week, following the announcement of the K-State at Nebraska football game time.
