INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Washburn Ichabods remained No. 6 in the NCAA Southwest Regional Football poll which was released today. This weekend, the Ichabods will travel to Maryville, Mo., to take on Northwest Missouri in a battle for first place in the MIAA. The Bearcats are ranked No. 2 in the latest regional poll. The Ichabods enter the game with a 6-2 overall record and a 5-1 mark in MIAA play. The Bearcats are 6-0 in MIAA action and 6-1 overall. An Ichabod win would put the two teams in a tie for first place in the conference standings with two games to go in the regular season.
The top six teams in the final regional poll qualify for the 24-team NCAA Division II Playoffs.
