MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) _ The undefeated Kansas Jayhawks are in
Manhattan tomorrow to take on 24th-ranked Kansas State.
There hasn't been as much excitement about the Sunflower
Showdown since 1995 -- when number 14 Kansas State belted number
six Kansas 41-7.
This year, the 3-1 Wildcats are coming off a 41-21 upset at
The 4-0 Jayhawks are unbeaten and highly ranked nationally in
almost every statistical category -- but they're also unranked.
Both teams have something to prove.
The Wildcats want to show beating Texas was no fluke. Last year,
they followed an upset win over Texas with a 39-20 loss at Kansas.
The Jayhawks haven't won in Manhattan since 1989, and they want
to prove that their unbeaten record isn't just a product of a soft
