Chiefs Improve to 2-2 Over Chargers

SAN DIEGO (AP) _ The free-fall continues for the San Diego
Chargers. Winners of 14 games last season, the Chargers have
dropped to 1-and-3 this season after a 30-16 pasting by Kansas
City. As fans left the stadium, many cheered, ``Marty, Marty,
Marty,'' after fired coach Marty Schottenheimer. He was dumped last
February and replaced by Norv Turner.
Quarterback Philip Rivers was also booed loudly in the game as
he threw four straight incompletions from the 5-yard line with less
than four minutes to go. Rivers had two interceptions and one
fumble, which led to 17 points.
For the Chiefs, who are 2-and-2, Larry Johnson gained 123 yards
on 25 carries.
