The Washburn Lady Blues soccer team will wrap up the first half of the
MIAA season as they take on Southwest Baptist on Thursday and Missouri
Southern on Friday with both matches starting at 7 p.m. On Thursday
against Southwest Baptist, Washburn will attempt to regain the NCAA
Division II single game attendance record, which the Lady Blues held for
nearly two seasons. Central Oklahoma hosted 2,004 people to their match
earlier this season. Events planned at Washburn include a pre-game
tailgate, prizes and give-a-ways. The Lady Blues enter the match with
Southwest Baptist with a 5-4-1 overall record and a 3-2-0 mark in
conference play after going 1-1 last weekend falling at Truman before
winning at Northwest Missouri the following day.
