WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A pregnant teenager believed to be with the
suspect in the death of a Butler Community college student sent a text message to her mother after the couple fled.
Sandy Martens says her 16-year-old daughter's message was that
she had a lot to tell her mother, but she didn't send any more details.
Sandy Martens told her story a day after authorities found a body that matches that of Emily Sander. Sander was last seen alive a week ago leaving a bar with 24-year-old Israel Mireles.
El Dorado police confirm that the pregnant teen sent a text message to her mother on Sunday but say there are no new developments in the case.
Police are continuing to search for Mireles, who they say may have fled to Mexico.
Martens says she has not heard from her daughter since receiving the text message.
