1 cup dried figs
1 cup prunes
1 cup dried apricots
1/3 cup dried cranberries
¼ cup molasses
and don't forget...
1 - 750 ml bottle light red wine, such as Pinot Noir
1 - 750 ml bottle sparkling apple cider, chilled
1 liter bottle club soda, chilled
1 orange, sliced thin
1 lemon, sliced thin
In a 3 quart glass container, toss all fruits with molasses; stir well. Slowly pour red wine over all; cover and chill for 24 hours. To serve, add chilled sparkling cider and club soda; stir. Fill glasses with ice and ladle in sangria - serve at once. Enjoy this treat all weekend while it's cold outside!
