Ingredients

Directions

Strawberry-Kiwi Smoothies
4 servings
1/2 cup milk
1 pint fresh strawberries,
washed and patted dry
1 kiwi, peeled
2 teaspoons sugar (see Note)
1 quart vanilla ice cream

In a blender, blend all the ingredients except the ice cream, until the fruit is
puréed. Add the ice cream and blend until smooth and thick. Serve immediately.

Note: Add more or less of the sugar depending on the sweetness of the
strawberries. For a lighter version, use nonfat frozen yogurt and skim milk.

Strawberry-Banana Smoothies
4 servings

2 (10-ounce) packages frozen sliced strawberries in syrup
2 (8-ounce) containers strawberry yogurt
1 ripe banana, peeled
1 cup milk

In a blender, blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Serve
immediately.

Note: For the taste of summer, you can’t beat a smoothie made with frozen
peaches and peach yogurt, but almost any frozen fruit and yogurt can be made into your own special fruit smoothie.

Orange Smoothies
4 to 5 servings
2 cups milk
1 (6-ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups ice cubes

In a blender, blend all the ingredients until well combined, thick, and frothy. Serve immediately.

Note: Garnish with a slice of orange. These can also be made with ice cream instead of ice cubes for an orange smoothie shake.
