ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- Pakistani security forces arrested eight Iranian security personnel in uniform when they trespassed into Pakistani soil on Monday, police official Dad Rehman told CNN.

Rehman said the Iranian security personnel were traveling in two vehicles and chasing a third when they crossed the Pakistan-Iran border and drove approximately 3 kilometers (2 miles) into Baluchestan province.

Pakistani security forces pulled over all three vehicles in the Mashkhel area and detained all eight Iranian security personnel and the driver of the third vehicle, Rehman told CNN in a telephone interview from the Washuk district of Baluchestan province.
