Shawnee County's new information technology system software is on schedule to be up and running for its August 1st launch date.

Marti Leisinger with audit finance updated Shawnee County Commissioners Monday on progress being made to implement the county's new ERP software. She said they've entered budget numbers and 99 county employees into the system and the software company, Sunguard, has been training employees on the new system.

Leisinger said she expects the transition to go well. She says if there are issues, they can continue on the old system until the new one is ready to go.

"We've been testing and testing and testing and we will continue to test," she said.

Training on the system will continue through June.
