(CNN) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is moving forward with a health care reform bill, which includes a public insurance plan allowing states to opt out if they choose. Support for a government run health care plan is questionable, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insists the House will pass a reform bill that includes a public option.

Minnesota-Northwest-NTSB

Two Northwest Airline pilots tell NTSB investigators they were using their laptops and discussing new company policy, when Flight 188 missed its destination at the Minneapolis St. Paul airport last week by 150 miles. Investigators are talking to flight attendants about the incident today.

Iraq-Violence

The death toll is climbing in double car bombings in Baghdad. Officials say 160 people are now dead the worst attacks in the city in more than two years.

Texas-Terrorism-Hearing

A terrorist suspect accused of two counts of plotting to bomb a skyscraper in Texas pleads not guilty Monday in federal court. Federal officials accuse 19-year-old Hosam Maher Husein Smadi of trying to set off a car bomb at a 60-story office tower in in Dallas.

Malawi-Madonna-School

The Material Girl is in Malawi, Africa today, breaking ground on a new school for girls in the impoverished nation in southern Africa. Madonna, on her web site, says the new academy will focus on empowering woman to become leaders. The pop star has adopted two children from Malawi.
