(CNN) -- First he brought sexy back and now he's bringing sexy backgrounds.
Sheryl Crow has revealed that Justin Timberlake will provide backing vocals on her cover of Terrence Trent D'Arby's hit "Sign Your Name," from her upcoming album "100 Miles from Memphis."
Their collaboration, however, was purely an accident. Crow says she had been recording in an L.A. studio when she bumped into Memphis native JT, 29, who was producing tracks for Jamie Foxx.
"[Timberlake] was in the hallway," Crow, 48, told Billboard.com. "I've always liked him. I played [the song] for him, and when it got to the chorus he's like, 'Who's doing the backgrounds?' I said, 'We haven't done them yet,' and he said, 'I got it.' It was all very organic and, man, perfect. People have no idea how talented this guy is."
Crow's new album drops July 20.
