State Swimming Takes Over Topeka

High School State Swimming
On Saturday High School swimmers from around the state of Kansas converged on Topeka for their shot at a state title.
In 6A Wichita East took home the top team honors, followed by Shawnee Mission East, Blue Valley North, Washburn Rural and Lawrence Free State.
Washburn Rural did not have a top individual finisher.
In 5-1A Shawnee Mission South finished first as a team, followed by Hayden, Maize South, Bishop Miege, and Wichita Collegiate.
Hayden finished first in the 200 & 400 Freestyle Relays. John-Martin Schmidt won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:42.15.
