TOPEKA, Kan. – The Lady Blues shot 49 percent and held Benedictine to just 2 of 9 shooting in the first half as they went on to a 71-31 win Monday night in Lee Arena in their final non-conference tune-up before hosting Southwest Baptist Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

No. 12 Washburn improved to 5-0 while the Ravens remained at 11-1 as the NAIA team was playing the game as an exhibition.

A basket by Casyn Buchman with 2:24 left gave Washburn a 31-point lead and the Lady Blues led 41-12 at halftime.

The Ravens only cut the lead below 30 once in the second half, 46-17 with 15:48 to go, but an 18-2 run later gave the Lady Blues a 45-point lead.
