Now that the weather's turning cooler, this Halloween theme hot treat will fill up those hungry stomachs, and give your kids a healthy start each day.
Ingredients: ½ cup dry old fashioned rolled oats ¾ cup - 1 cup water or milk of choice (We personally like Hy-Vee Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk)
¼ cup canned pumpkin puree ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice, or to taste
dash of quality cinnamon, or to taste 5-7 drops vanilla stevia (found in HealthMarket) or sweetener of choice
2 Tbsp plain 0% fat Greek yogurt (I like fage) ½ scoop vanilla healthy whey protein powder crushed pecans, optional Directions: In a large microwave safe bowl mix the oats and water/ milk. Microwave for 3 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients to taste. Garnish with a small dollop of sweetened yogurt and crushed pecans with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Hello Fall!
