OGDEN, Kan. (WIBW) -- A man and woman from Ogden are facing a slew of drug charges after members of the Riley County Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit searched their home.
Officers conducted a search warrant at 230 North Walnut Street in Ogden at 9 AM Thursday, January 26, 2012 and arrested two residents at the scene.
Officials say the drug bust is part of an ongoing investigation by narcotics detectives.
Keith Singson, 31, who lives at 230 North Walnut Street, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor), Possession of Hydrocodone and Criminal Possession of a Firearm (misdemeanor). Singson’s bond was set at $9,000.
Amanda Silva, 32, who also lives at 230 North Walnut Street in Ogden, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (felony), Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $9,000.
Lieutenant Josh Kyle, a department spokesman, did not know the relationship between Singson and Silva. He said there is nothing to indicate from their charges to indicate that methamphetamine was being made in their home in addition to them allegedly dealing it. Police did not release exactly what they found inside the Ogden residence or how much meth was discovered.
Officials say Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia pertains to the distribution of a narcotic and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia pertains to the consumption of an illegal drug.
