North Topeka Kwik Shop Burglarized
Thieves targeted a north Topeka convenience store early Friday morning.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Thieves targeted a north Topeka convenience store early Friday morning.
It happened at the Kwik Shop at 1114 NW Topeka Blvd, around 4:00 Friday morning.
Topeka Police say a white man wearing dark clothing walked in and held the clerk at gunpoint.
Police say the suspect got away in a black, late model Chevy Impala with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect was wearing a black coat, black stocking cap and jeans, and is said to be 5'10 and around 180 pounds.

If a person entered the store and demanded something from the clerk and used a gun. why was this not reported as a "armed robery"?
