TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW) -- A home invasion Sunday morning left one dog dead.
Topeka police dispatchers received the call shortly after 5 a.m. of a home invasion in the 2200-block of Plass Avenue.
The homeowner says three or four men broke into his home, through the front door. He says they hit him in the face with a handgun and shotgun, and shot and killed his 8-year-old pitbull.
Late Sunday night, police reported one of the victims at the home was hospitalized. Detectives also served two search warrants, and arrested Sabastian Nath for aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, and cruetly to animals.
