Topeka Man Found Guilty Of Rape
A Third Judicial District jury Thursday morning returned a guilty verdict against Keenan Elijah-Akeem Jones, 20, Topeka, Kansas on charges of aggravated rape, aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary.

TOPEKA, KANSAS – A Third Judicial District jury Thursday morning returned a guilty verdict against Keenan Elijah-Akeem Jones, 20, Topeka, Kansas on all charged counts. The jury returned guilty verdicts against Jones for one count of rape, a level one person felony; one count of aggravated robbery, a level three person felony; and aggravated burglary, a level five person felony. The Shawnee County District Attorney’s office originally filed charges against Mr. Jones in early March following an investigation of events occurring in August of 2009.
Mr. Jones will remain in the Shawnee County Jail while awaiting sentencing. Judge Nancy Parrish scheduled the sentencing hearing for October 20, 2010 at 10 am in Division 14.
Assistant District Attorney Keith Henderson directed the prosecution of Mr. Jones. The Topeka Police Department directed the investigation.
