OGDEN, Kan. (WIBW)_ Ogden's city council president has stepped in to fill the role of ousted mayor Jimmy Bond.
Bob Pence said he would like to move quickly to hire a new manager for the city's pool by next week. With a manager in place, Pence said the pool can begin filling the rest of its staff and have them ready for certification in mid-April.
Additionally, he said there were leftover job evaluations, which themselves had been the subject of controversy, to complete. Pence explained that some of the evaluations were taking into account performance not specifically included in the job description.
He added that he does not know if he intends to run for re-election when his term expires in the fall.
