A Topeka family and their three dogs are safe after a house fire at 1623 SE 22nd on Tuesday night.

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW)_ A Topeka family and their three dogs are safe after a house fire at 1623 SE 22nd on Tuesday night.
Firefighters say it started around 5 p.m. in the laundry room.
The homeowner says a firefighter performed CPR on one of their dogs. That dog was brought to the veterinarian and was breathing shortly after she was rescued.
Firefighters are not sure what caused the fire, but say they estimate total content loss and damage to the structure at $75,000.
