Tight budget times have area school districts making tough decisions.
One of them came Monday night in Admire
The north Lyon County School Board voted 7-0 to close the Admire K-8 school.
K-5 students will attend Redding next year.
The board also voted 4-3 to send junior high students to Americus.
The superintendent says staff cuts are a possibility.
The district needs to trim $600,000.

I don't understand why they have to disrupt the Reading and Americus kids. Just leave them where they are and split up the Admire kids. Sent them to the closest school to them. Next year they will try to close the Reading school and sent them all to Americus.
