Two cars were involved in a fatal crash on 152 highway in Kansas City police said.
The wreck happened just after 2 p.m. Monday.
Police have confirmed that a 45-year-old Liberty man was killed and two others were injured.
Police said a man driving an SUV lost control of his vehicle and crossed over the median and hit another car.
Investigators said the driver of the car was killed, but a 5-month-old boy in a child seat was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The SUV driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, emergency workers said.
Police are not sure if weather played a factor in the crash.
