With the current state of the economy and an average increase of $172 to $1,096 in tuition costs, many students are wondering how they will afford a college education. There is one local event that can help them get the money they need.

College Goal Sunday, 2-4 p.m., Feb. 21, is a free event for high school students where they will receive one-on-one help from financial aid advisors filling out the required Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Plus, four college-bound students at each College Goal Sunday location will win a scholarship to the college or trade school of their choice. (Students must be a first semester freshman in the fall of 2010).
