Police Arrest Kansas City Man For Deceptive Commercial Practices
Onaga police arrested Michael Bridges for allegedly misrepresenting himself as an employee for Windows Depot and taking a woman's money without providing services.

ONAGA, Kansas - The Onaga Police Department reports the arrest of Michael Scott Bridges, 45, of Kansas City, Kansas on December 23rd, 2009 by the Kansas City Kansas Police Department.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Onaga Police Department for a report of deceptive commercial practices that occurred in Onaga on March 5, 2009.

According to police, the victim provided a check to Michael Bridges in the amount of $9,286.00. Bridges had been doing business as Windows Depot USA of Northeast Kansas.

Bridges allegedly failed to provide windows to the victim, Mary Boren of Onaga. Bridges allegedly had been misrepresenting himself as a Windows Depot licensee affiliated with Windows Depot USA out of Little Rock, Arkansas.

According to Windows Depot USA their relationship with Michael Bridges had been terminated in January of 2009.

A Pottawatomie County Warrant was issued for the arrest of Michael Bridges and a cash bond was set at $9,286.00. Bridges was booked into the Wyandotte County Jail on Wednesday night.
