Kansas District Opts For Four-Day Week

Budget cuts have one school district scaling back to a four-day week.
KVOE Radio reports USD 245 South Coffey County, which is the Leroy and Gridley area, will start a four day week after the Christmas break.
Students will spend an extra 30 minutes in the classroom starting January 4th.
Superintendent Mike Kastle hopes to save between $25,000 and $30,000 for the rest of the school year.

Should have closed one school building instead of keeping both open, and bussing kids both ways at least 1 time a day. But what do I know, I went to USD #245 for my edjimication.
