Lawrence, KAN. (WIBW)--Lawrence police continue searching for a suspect after several shots were heard in the downtown area.

Police were on scene just before two Saturday night for a brawl outside the Granada on Massachusetts street. That fight resulted in the arrest of a Topeka man for hitting an officer.

Authorities heard several shots fired in the area while responding to the fight. A 19-year-old male contacted police saying he'd been shot. Then officers and witnesses heard another round of shots fired in the area. They eventually located two vehicles that were shot at 1029 New Hampshire.

The victim was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
