TARC, WalMart Team Up to "Shop With a Cop"
Saturday morning's event also gets the Kansas City Royals involved in the effort during their off-season.

TOPEKA -- The Fraternal Order of Police in conjunction with Walmart and the Kansas City Royals will be hosting a special shopping trip between law enforcement and children with developmental disabilities that receive services at TARC.
Saturday, December 12th, at 11:00 a.m., Kansas City Royals Administration, Slugger, the Kansas City Royals mascot, Sergeant Jack Mackey, the President of the local FOP and law enforcement officers will gather at the north Walmart on Highway 24 to begin their special shopping trip. The officers will help the children pick out their favorite and most desired Christmas wish list items.
TARC is a not-for-profit service organization that works to enhance the lives of people with developmental and related disabilities and their families, with service, support, advocacy and community involvement.
