Stop Smoking For The New Year
The Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) will be offering a Freedom from Smoking course starting December 10, 2009 at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library.

TOPEKA, Kansas - The Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) will be offering a Freedom from Smoking course starting December 10, 2009 at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library. This is a seven-week course, with the first three weeks focused on helping create a personal plan to quit smoking by the New Year.

Two different times will be offered. Classes will be held:
Thursday, December 10th 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm
Thursday, December 17th 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm
Thursday, December 24th 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm
Thursday, December 31st 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm
Saturday, January 2nd 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm
Thursday, January 7th 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm
Thursday, January 14th 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm
Thursday, January 21st 12:00-1:15pm or 5:30-6:45pm

Freedom from Smoking classes are designed to help identify an individual’s triggers to using tobacco, and will help develop a quit plan for each student. This seven-week class is $45.00 per person. A limited number of scholarships are available. Participants must be registered to attend.
