TOPEKA, Kan, (WIBW)_ Thanks to a prominent speaker, a record number of people have purchased tickets to the Salina Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner.

With former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin scheduled to attend, the Chamber announced it has sold out its Bicentennial Center dinner next Friday.

More than five thousand tickets were sold, mostly to chamber members, Chamber CEO Dennis Lauver said.
