Why would the restaurant disclose the amount taken? When I was a restaurant manager, I was always told never to immediately disclose the amount taken in a robbery in order to keep it out of the news. When I was the victim of a robbery I told the police officer that I was not to disclose the amount taken and he advised me that they never release that information to the media. I would be horrified if I worked for this store and it was announced that over $6500 was taken, given the rash of robberies that have occured over the last few months. Nothing like advertising!!
