TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)_ A Topeka Police motorcycle officer suffered a few scrapes this morning when his motorcycle took a spill around 9:30 Wednesday morning.
The Topeka Police Department says three motorcycle officers were westbound on 29th Street and tried to make a U-turn near McAllister in pursuit of a traffic violator.
The first bike completed the turn, but the other two got too close, causing one went down.
The officer was checked out at the hospital as a precaution, but was not injured. The two motorcycles suffered minor damage.

Getting rid of any well established motorcyle program would only hurt the city. Talk to anyone from the city of Wichita. About 10 years ago they did away with there program and the number of fatal accidents and other accidents have increased. To the motor officer that went down, I hope all is well, dust yourself off and keep riding.

Oh good grief. Accidents happen. Get over it people. Who knows why there were several motorcycle cops at the same place and who cares. They were doing their job and no one was hurt seriously. Hope that they are back at work protecting the public. Even you annonymous.
