TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Topeka High School ROTC boxed cans for those in need Tuesday.

The group has been collecting cans in front of Hy-Vee and Wal-Mart the last few weekends and Tuesday boxed them up and loaded them onto a “Let’s Help Truck.”

In all, the Topeka High ROTC collected over $7,000 worth of food to give to the hungry.

maybe HP needs to tell the media what they are doing to get the coverage. Also - the HP ROTC feeding people at the mission is as much a part of their charity service requirements as THS ROTC collecting food. I think there is a difference between media hungry and media savvy. Gotta tell the media what is going on before the coverage can happen. They aren't mind readers.
