Census Bureau Looking For Workers
The U.S. Census Bureau expects to hire thousands of people between now and next spring.

Topeka (WIBW) - People looking for a job might look to the U.S. Census Bureau.

The Bureau will hire thousands of people throughout the Kansas City Region for the six states of Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas between now and next spring. During peak times, the work force could reach up to 35,000.

“This is the largest civilian mobilization of workers in the history of the United States” said Dennis Johnson, Regional Director.

The jobs are temporary positions paying from $11.50 to $20.00 per hour plus mileage for the field positions of Recruiting Assistants, Crew Leaders, Crew Leader Assistants and Census Takers. The pay for Census Clerks range from $7.50 to $12.75 per hour depending on location. There may be some opportunities for advancement.

Positions are available in every community. In Kansas, they'll work out of offices Topeka, Dodge City and Wichita.

Yea This might be a good way to get shot cause some people don't like surveyers. One guy in Alama got kilt.
