Community Blood Center Hosting Drive Tuesday

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Community Blood Center (CBC) is teaming up with the Topeka Hy-Vee to fulfill the local blood needs of hospitals.
Tuesday, November 17th, they are hosting a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The drive will be at CBC’s Thanks For Giving center in the Donor Room, located at 800 SW Lane.
CBC said one donation can help as many as two hospital patients.
Last year the Community Blood Center said 28,000 people in the Topeka area needed a blood transfusion in 2008.
