A local grocery store thanked veterans by offering them a free breakfast.

Topeka (WIBW) - Some veterans in the Topeka area got their day off to a good start.
The Topeka Hy-Vee offered all veterans a free breakfast from 6 am until 11 am.
Store Director Shawn Brown said it was a good way for the store to give back to the community.
The menu included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown casserole, biscuits and gravy, and choice of beverage.
The Topeka High ROTC Marines presented the colors and several vintage World War II vehicles were on display.
