Topeka (WIBW) - Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputies will be out late Friday.

The Sheriff’s Office will have extra personnel on the roads conducting a DUI / Saturation Patrol. The stepped up patrol runs from 10:30 pm Friday to 2:30 am Saturday.

fA grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation enable the agency to have more officer presence on streets and highways to aggressively enforce Kansas’s traffic laws.

Deputies will be especially vigilant for impaired drivers and children, teens, and adults who are not buckled up.
