Senate Bill Contains Money For Kansas Projects

(WIBW) - A bill that would send Kansas federal money for aviation research and fingerprint technology heads to negotiations with the House.
The Senate passed the Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations bill Thursday night.
This CJS Appropriations bill funds several agencies, including the Department of Justice, NASA, and the Department of Commerce.
Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kansas, says it includes funding for several Kansas projects.
The following Kansas projects were included in the bill:
Southeast Kansas Regional Collaborative Fingerprint and Palmprint Identification System, Southeast Kansas Regional Law Enforcement Group, $500,000
Butler County, Butler County First Responders Radio System Project, $500,000
Wichita, National Center for Advanced Materials Performance, National Institute for Aviation Research, $600,000
Shawnee Mission, Watch D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students), National Center for Fathering, $900,000
Kansas City, Kansas Anti-Trafficking Coalition, Veronica’s Voice, $300,000
