Fort Hays President Discusses Education, Economic Rebound

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)_ Fort Hays State University President Edward Hammond was in the Capital City Thursday to talk with talk with legislators about how the current economy is affecting the Kansas Regents Universities.
In an interview, Hammond talked about how Kansas usually rebounds slowly from an economic slowdown, so he sees obstacles ahead, especially when stimulus money runs out in 2012.
He said that many schools have already embedded that money into their budgets, so that when it expires, new sources will need to be found.
