Kansas is back on the right track for the usage of renewable energy.

The strategic planning committee of the south west power pool Tuesday decided to reinstate the Kansas transmission line.

Last week Governor Mark Parkinson wrote a letter to the company asking that the project be put back on their priority list.

He says that his administration remains committed to seeing its ultimate approval in January.

The $700 million project would carry wind energy to surrounding states, and is a very important part for Kansas's wind industry.
