I am in favor of removing the smoking ban. the idea that second hand smoking harms a person is just scare tacits. second hand smoking does not harm anybody. the smoke goes thru thke smokers lungs first and is filtered by the time it reachs another person. I do not smoke and if i do not want to be bothered by smoke i go where there is no smoking. However very seldom does second hand smoke bother me it only does when the smoker blows it directly into my face. I have been around second hand smoke for 60 years and i have no ill effects.

Funny that NO media will report the funding of the pro ban movement! NONE of the money is from inside Kansas. EVERY group pushing this receives grants from the company that sells nicotine replacement products, and their partner foundation. If you think this is a group of unfunded, concerned local citizens you are WRONGAMUNDO!!!! Look up Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and their grants to Kansas Health Foundation, Tobacco Free Kansas, Clean Air Topeka, and other grant sponging organizations, INCLUDING your local Health Department employees, who DO NOT EVEN CLOCK OUT TO LOBBY WITH THIS GRANT MONEY!!!!! Follow the money, baby! It always leads to the WHY of an issue. And Governor Parkinson and Kathleen Sebelius are VERY good friends with these groups, as is Laura Kelly and Senator Barnett of Emporia!
