The City of Neodesha will receive over a half million dollars in disaster aide on account of the 2007 floods.

The city had 9% of its housing damaged by the floods.

The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation awarded them $512,000 to help create six single family homes and up to 32 units of multi-family housing.

The grants were created last year by the Kansas legislature to assist communities recovering from the 2007 Greensburg tornado and the southeast Kansas floods that same year.
