FREDONIA, Kansas - A collision between a southbound SKO train and an eastbound one ton truck and trailer hauling hay injured the truck driver, and blocked the tracks near 700 and Gove Roads approximately 4 miles southwest of Fredonia at about 8:30 Tuesday morning.

According to Wilson County Emergency Management, the truck was pushed almost ½ mile down the track before the train was able to stop. The truck subsequently caught on fire and was destroyed.
