Millions of dollars are coming for upgrades at McConnell Air Force Base.

U.S. Congressman Todd Tiahrt Friday announced passage of the military construction and veterans affairs appropriation bill, which will secure $8.7 million in fiscal year 2010.

Tiahrt says the upgrades will strengthen the intelligence component of the Air National Guard at McConnell Air Force Base.

He says the bill also improve health care access for veterans who live in rural areas.
