LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ Craig Nowatzke's hot dog stand in Lawrence is a busy lunchtime stop.
The 40-year-old, who sells the food from a wheelchair, says ``it's hard work.''
Nowatzke has to set up a 1,000-pound cart and more than a half-dozen coolers, containers and condiments. He also brings out a 65-pound shaved ice machine.
He's been working the job for five years and opens Wednesdays through Saturdays, usually from April to Christmas.
On most days, he'll sell between 50 to 100 hot dogs, sausages, links and Tofurkey.
He says the job gives him more freedom than his career in a cubicle after he earned a master's in rehabilitation therapy.
