Frankfort Summerfest Kicks Off Friday
Frankfort Summerfest includes a Saturday full of activities including a parade, games, BBQ and live entertainment. Summerfest is held in Frankfort City Park June 20.

FRANKFORT, Kan. - The 2009 Frankfort Summerfest will be Saturday, June 20th in Frankfort City Park.
The day begins with a 5K Fun Run/ Walk. For more information call LifeCare Fitness Center at (785) 292-4382.
The rest of the day is filled with a Whiteway Car Run; Manhattan Area Rail Joiners Model Train Display; BBQ Contest (call Kevin Anderson 785-562-6413); Parents as Teachers Hands-on Discovery Area Seat Belt Convincer; food booths; craft vendors; kids' games starting at 10 a.m.; inflatable games from noon to five; a bike show (call Hank Schell 785-292-4622); Parade registration starts at 1:00 p.m. at 6th & Maple, the parade begins at 2:00; Talent show from 3-5p.m.; Rotary BBQ from 5-7p.m. The day wraps up with live entertainment on the baseball field from 8p.m. - midnight.
