A South Dakota man is being charged with attempting to murder a Fort Riley man.

Ryan Peterson of South Dakota is accused of attacking Joshua Webber.

According to the indictment, on May 22nd Peterson drove from South Dakota to Fort Riley armed with a hunting knife and tools to break into Webber's house.

Peterson was confronted by officers and then took - off before being arrested.

If convicted Peterson faces 20 years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.
